Spotless: Clean Phone & Photos · Last updated October 7, 2026
This policy explains what information Spotless: Clean Phone & Photos (“the app”, “we”) collects, why, and who it is shared with. It is written to match exactly what the app does.
Summary
- No ads, no tracking. We do not show third-party ads, do not collect your advertising identifier (IDFA), and do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
- No account, no server of our own. Your photos, videos, contacts and calendar are analysed on your device and never uploaded. Scan results and settings are stored only on your device.
- We never sell your data.
1. What leaves your device
The table below lists everything that leaves your device.
| Data | Sent to | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Usage events, device model, OS version, app identifiers | Google Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics) | Understand usage and improve the app |
| Crash and performance reports | Google Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics) | Find and fix bugs |
| GPS coordinates of photos, only when you open the place-based albums | Apple (Maps geocoding) | Show a place name for each album |
| Filler test data, only while you run the Wi-Fi speed test | Cloudflare (speed test) | Measure download and upload speed |
2. What stays on your device
- Scan results for duplicates, similar shots, blurry photos, screenshots and large videos. The photos and videos themselves are analysed on your device and never leave it.
- Contact and calendar cleanup results, including the undo history for merged contacts.
- Your settings, reminders and cleanup statistics.
- Items you delete go to iOS's Recently Deleted album, where iOS keeps them for 30 days.
What we do not collect:
- Your photos, videos, files, contacts or calendar events — none of them are uploaded.
- Your name, email address or any account — the app has no sign-in.
- Your advertising identifier (IDFA), precise location of your device, microphone or camera.
3. Device permissions
Spotless: Clean Phone & Photos asks for a permission only when you use the feature that needs it. You can decline, and you can change your choice at any time in iOS Settings.
- Photos — to scan your library on your device for duplicates, similar shots, blurry photos, screenshots and large videos, to delete the items you choose, and to save new images such as a still made from a Live Photo.
- Contacts (optional) — only if you use the contact cleanup tool, to find and merge duplicates on your device.
- Calendars (optional) — only if you use calendar cleanup, to find old past events on your device and remove the ones you confirm.
- Notifications (optional) — for reminders you turn on, such as cleanup reports and charging reminders.
4. Who we share data with
We do not sell your personal information and do not share it with advertisers. We share data only with these service providers, each of which is bound by its own privacy policy and data-protection terms:
- Google Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics) — Tells us which features are used and reports crashes. Never used for advertising or cross-app tracking. Receives: in-app usage events, device model, OS version, app version, language, coarse region, an app-generated instance identifier and crash logs. Their privacy policy: firebase.google.com/support/privacy
- Apple (Maps geocoding) — Turns the GPS coordinates stored in your photos into a readable place name for the place-based albums. Receives: the latitude and longitude of photos shown in place-based albums — never the photos themselves. Their privacy policy: www.apple.com/legal/privacy
- Cloudflare (speed test) — Measures your connection speed when you run the optional Wi-Fi speed test. Receives: meaningless filler data transferred to and from Cloudflare's public speed-test endpoint, plus your IP address as part of any internet connection. Their privacy policy: www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy
- Legal requirements — we may disclose information if required by law, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
5. How long we keep it
Data stored on your device stays there until you delete it or uninstall the app. We do not run our own servers and keep no copy of the content you submit. Analytics and crash data are kept for the provider's standard retention period.
6. Legal bases
For analytics and crash diagnostics we rely on our legitimate interest in keeping the app working and improving it. For purchases, we rely on performing our contract with you.
7. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or the CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of your personal information. In the app you can:
- Revoke Photos, Contacts, Calendars or Notifications access in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security.
- Recover deleted photos from the Recently Deleted album in the Photos app within 30 days.
- Delete all app data by deleting the app. Nothing is stored on our side.
For any other request, email khoald2302.ai@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days.
8. Tracking
We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites. We do not access your advertising identifier (IDFA), so the app never shows the App Tracking Transparency prompt.
9. Children
The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version, and material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
