Frequently asked questions
- Can Loudly make Spotify, YouTube or Apple Music louder?
- No. iOS does not let any app process another app's audio, so no app can truly do this. Loudly boosts the music and videos you import into Loudly itself, and its Volume Checkup shows the iOS settings that may be making your iPhone quieter everywhere.
- How much louder does it get, and will it distort?
- Loudly applies a real, measured boost with a built-in limiter, so loud passages are held back instead of clipping. The exact boost depends on the track; very loud masters gain less.
- Is Loudly free? What does Loudly Plus add?
- Loudly is free to download, and boost, the limiter and Volume Checkup are free for everyone. Loudly Plus is a one-time purchase — no subscription — that adds unlimited imports (the free plan holds 3 tracks), all 6 EQ presets, saving your custom EQ, and video playback.
- How do I add my music and videos?
- Import files from the Files app or AirDrop, or pick DRM-free songs from your music library. Streaming-service downloads and protected songs cannot be imported because they are locked to their own apps.
- How do I restore Loudly Plus?
- Tap Restore Purchases on the Loudly Plus screen or in Settings. Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple Account you used to buy.
- How do I get a refund?
- Refunds are handled by Apple. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- How do I delete my data?
- Remove tracks in the app, or delete the app. Your files and settings live only on your iPhone, so deleting the app removes them completely. To stop anonymous usage measurement, turn off Share usage data in Settings → Privacy.
- How is my data handled?
- See our Privacy Policy.
