Privacy Policy
Loudly · Last updated November 4, 2026
This policy explains what information Loudly (“the app”, “we”) collects, why, and who it is shared with. It is written to match exactly what the app does.
Summary
- No ads, no tracking. We do not show third-party ads, do not collect your advertising identifier (IDFA), and do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
- No account, no server of our own. The music and videos you import, your playlists, favourites and settings are stored only on your iPhone. Playback, boost and equaliser work fully offline. The only data that leaves your iPhone is anonymous usage measurement, which you can turn off at any time.
- We never sell your data.
1. What leaves your device
The table below lists everything that leaves your device.
| Data | Sent to | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Usage events (never your music, videos or file names), app-instance identifier, app and device info, approximate region | Google Analytics for Firebase | Understand how the app is used and improve it — only while Share usage data is on |
| Your purchase receipt | Apple (App Store purchases) | Confirm that you own Loudly Plus |
2. What stays on your device
- The audio and video files you import (from Files, AirDrop or your music library) and your library, playlists and favourites.
- Your boost, equaliser and playback settings, and the results of the Volume Checkup.
- Delete everything at any time by deleting the app.
What we do not collect:
- Your name, email address or any account, because Loudly has no sign-in.
- What you listen to or watch — your music, videos, file names and playback history never leave your iPhone.
- Your advertising identifier (IDFA), precise location, contacts or browsing history. Loudly does not track you across apps and never shows the App Tracking Transparency prompt.
- Crash reports, because the app includes no crash-reporting SDK.
- Payment details — Loudly Plus is bought through Apple, and we never see your card, Apple Account or name.
3. Device permissions
Loudly asks for a permission only when you use the feature that needs it. You can decline, and you can change your choice at any time in iOS Settings.
- Media & Apple Music — to let you pick songs already in your music library (DRM-free tracks only), only if you choose to import from it. The songs stay on your iPhone.
- Microphone — only during the speaker loudness check, to measure how loud your iPhone's speaker plays. Nothing is recorded, saved or sent anywhere.
4. Who we share data with
We do not sell your personal information and do not share it with advertisers. We share data only with these service providers, each of which is bound by its own privacy policy and data-protection terms:
- Google Analytics for Firebase — Measures how the app is used (for example whether onboarding was finished, which features are opened) so we can fix problems and improve Loudly. Not used for advertising or cross-app tracking. You can turn it off at any time in Settings → Privacy → Share usage data. Receives: usage events and their settings (never your music, videos or file names), an app-instance identifier, app version, device model, OS version, locale, approximate region derived from your IP address. Their privacy policy: firebase.google.com/support/privacy
- Apple (App Store purchases) — Processes the one-time Loudly Plus purchase and verifies that you own it. Receives: your purchase receipt, handled by Apple. We never see your payment details, Apple Account or name.. Their privacy policy: www.apple.com/legal/privacy
- Legal requirements — we may disclose information if required by law, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
5. How long we keep it
Data stored on your device stays there until you delete it or uninstall the app. We do not run our own servers and keep no copy of the content you submit. Analytics and crash data are kept for the provider's standard retention period.
6. Legal bases
For analytics and crash diagnostics we rely on our legitimate interest in keeping the app working and improving it. For purchases, we rely on performing our contract with you.
7. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or the CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of your personal information. In the app you can:
- Turn off usage analytics in Settings → Privacy → Share usage data. Nothing else in the app changes.
- Remove any track or video from your Loudly library in the app; the original file in Files or your music library is not touched.
- Revoke Media & Apple Music access in iOS Settings at any time; files you imported from Files keep working.
- Delete all your data by deleting the app.
For any other request, email khoald2302.ai@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days.
8. Tracking
We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites. We do not access your advertising identifier (IDFA), so the app never shows the App Tracking Transparency prompt.
9. Children
The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version, and material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
