Clarity AI: ADHD Brain Dump · Last updated September 29, 2026
This policy explains what information Clarity AI: ADHD Brain Dump (“the app”, “we”) collects, why, and who it is shared with. It is written to match exactly what the app does.
Summary
- No ads, no tracking. We do not show third-party ads, do not collect your advertising identifier (IDFA), and do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
- AI features. Content you choose to submit is sent to OpenAI for processing — only after you agree on the in-app “AI features use OpenAI” screen.
- No account, no server of our own. Your tasks, Brain Dumps and settings are stored only on your device.
- We never sell your data.
1. What leaves your device
The table below lists everything that leaves your device.
Items sent to an AI provider are sent only after you agree on the in-app “AI features use OpenAI” screen. If you tap “Not now”, nothing is sent and the AI feature does not run.
| Data | Sent to | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Tasks and text you type into AI features (task breakdown, time estimates, summaries, rewrites, tone checks) | OpenAI | Generate the result you asked for |
| Text transcribed from your voice Brain Dumps | OpenAI | Turn your Brain Dump into a task list |
| Text you share to Clarity from other apps with the Share sheet | OpenAI | Summarise it |
| Voice audio while you record a Brain Dump | Apple (Speech Recognition) | Convert speech to text |
| Usage and purchase events, device model, OS version, app identifiers | Google Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics, Remote Config) | Understand usage and improve the app |
| Crash and performance reports | Google Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics, Remote Config) | Find and fix bugs |
2. What stays on your device
- Your tasks, their steps and your time-estimate history.
- Focus Mode progress and your app settings.
- Summaries you create from the Share sheet, kept in the app's shared container on your device until Clarity opens them.
- Your AI-consent choice and your free AI-run count.
- Delete your tasks and history at any time with Settings → Clear All Data.
What we do not collect:
- Your name, email address or any account — the app has no sign-in.
- Your voice recordings — audio is turned into text and is not saved by the app.
- Your advertising identifier (IDFA), precise location, contacts, photos or browsing history.
3. Device permissions
Clarity AI: ADHD Brain Dump asks for a permission only when you use the feature that needs it. You can decline, and you can change your choice at any time in iOS Settings.
- Microphone and Speech Recognition — for voice Brain Dumps. Your voice is converted to text by Apple's speech recognition service; the text is sent to OpenAI only if you have agreed to AI data processing.
4. Who we share data with
We do not sell your personal information and do not share it with advertisers. We share data only with these service providers, each of which is bound by its own privacy policy and data-protection terms:
- OpenAI — Breaks tasks into steps, estimates how long they take, turns Brain Dumps into task lists, and summarises, rewrites or tone-checks text. Receives: the text you type into AI features, the text transcribed from your voice Brain Dumps, and text you share to Clarity from other apps. Shared only with your in-app consent. Their privacy policy: openai.com/policies/privacy-policy
- Apple (Speech Recognition) — Turns your voice into text when you record a Brain Dump. Receives: the audio of your voice while you are recording. Their privacy policy: www.apple.com/legal/privacy
- Google Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics, Remote Config) — Tells us which features are used, reports crashes, and delivers app configuration. Never used for advertising or cross-app tracking. Receives: in-app usage and purchase events, device model, OS version, app-generated identifiers and crash logs. Their privacy policy: firebase.google.com/support/privacy
- Legal requirements — we may disclose information if required by law, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
5. How long we keep it
Data stored on your device stays there until you delete it or uninstall the app. We do not run our own servers and keep no copy of the content you submit. AI providers process requests to return a result to you and retain request data only as described in their own policies. Analytics and crash data are kept for the provider's standard retention period.
6. Legal bases
For AI features we rely on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. For analytics and crash diagnostics we rely on our legitimate interest in keeping the app working and improving it. For purchases, we rely on performing our contract with you.
7. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or the CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of your personal information. In the app you can:
- Withdraw AI consent by deleting the app. The choice is stored only on your device, and after you reinstall nothing is sent to OpenAI until you agree again.
- Revoke Microphone or Speech Recognition access in iOS Settings.
- Delete your tasks and history in Settings → Clear All Data, or by deleting the app.
For any other request, email khoald2302.ai@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days.
8. Tracking
We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites. We do not access your advertising identifier (IDFA), so the app never shows the App Tracking Transparency prompt.
9. Children
The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version, and material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
